<title>Nomination by Petition form</title>
<link>http://www.sdlibraryassociation.org/pdf/NominationbyPetition.pdf</link>
<description>At the Nov. 2009 SDLA Board meeting, revisions to clarify the nominating committee procedures were approved. According to SDLA Procedures, the Nominating Committee selects the candidates for open SDLA offices. However, the Bylaws allow for ‘Nomination by Petition’ candidates in addition to the candidates selected by the Committee. Any member of the Association
may present a petition signed by not fewer than 15 members of the Association proposing additional nominations. The Nomination by Petition process may be used for self-nomination or to nominate a fellow SDLA member. Petition nominations can be submitted to Kevin Kenkel, the current committee chair (<a href="mailto:KeKenkel@dwu.edu">KeKenkel@dwu.edu</a>). The deadline for petition nominations is April 1, 2010.
